Uzbek NGO send about 200 tonnes of humanitarian aid to refugees
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- About 200 tonnes of humanitarian aid, gathered with the efforts of Mehr nuri Foundation, the Women’s Council, the Fund Forum and the SISF – organizations patronized by Gulnara karimova, left from Tashkent to refugee camps in Ferghana Valley.

Humanitarian aid includes medicaments, food, clothes, blankets, mattresses and many other products. The aid will be delivered to refugees from Kyrgyzstan, who fled violence.

Various organizations and people contributed to humanitarian aid to assist refugees. Among them were "Tadbirkor ayol" Association of Business Women, Invest Credit, Singapore Representative Office in Uzbekistan, Lobol-Impeks Ltd., Baraka Credit Union, Boutique Eve, GeoMax, Special Olimpics, Alfa Invest, Grand Mir Hotel, as well as individuals made their contributions.

On 16 June, the foundations dispatched 130 tonnes of humanitarian aid (food supplies and medication) worth over 200 million soums. The first party was collected by funds and after it the funds launched campaign to gather aid.

Volunteers of Center for Youth Initiatives Kelajak Ovozi are assisting in delivering humanitarian aids to refugees in border districts of Andijan region.

The hotline continues to receive calls from those wishing to contribute to the cause of providing humanitarian aid for all those affected by the recent events in Kyrgyzstan.
