Uzbek MPs pass several laws
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan held a session and considered laws on traffic safety, operative-search operation, private banking and financial institutions, and other documents.

MPs considered a draft law “On introduction of changes and amendments to some legislative acts of Uzbekistan in connection with improvement of microfinancing”.

The document was developed in line with the presidential resolution “On priority directions on further reforming and increasing sustainability of financial-banking system of Uzbekistan in 2011-2015 and achieving high international ratings”.

During the session, MPs underlined that the draft law is directed at developing microfinancing and microcrediting organizations, introduction of new mechanisms of regulation and supervision in line with international principles and standards.

At the meeting, MPs considered a draft law “On traffic safety” in new edition. They noted that the document determines priority directions and principles of state policy in ensuring traffic safety, concretize requirements to technical state and equipment of vehicles and roads. After the discussions, the law pass passed.

Later MPs discussed a draft law “On operative-search activities”, developed in line with the Concept on further deepening democratic reforms and forming civil society in the country.

MPs said that the law will allow to systemize operative-search activities in Uzbekistan and it will help to protect rights and interests of the citizens, further democratize judicial-legal system. The law, as it was said in the session, will improve quality of inquiry and preliminary investigation, prevent violations. The law was passed by the Legislative Chamber.

MPs also considered a draft law “On introduction of changes and amendments to some legislative acts of Uzbekistan in connection with further cardinal improvement of business environment”, developed in line with the presidential decree “On measures on further cardinal improving business environment and providing more freedom of entrepreneurship”. At the session, MPs said that the draft law was directed at further protection of business entities, liberalization of economic and economic-procedural legislation.

Legislative Chamber also considered a draft law “On private banking and financial institutions and guarantees of their activity”, directed at forming legislative base for creation of private banks and financial institutions, based on private property, expansion of competition and improve services to clients, etc. The document was passed.

At the session, MPs considered several laws directed at further improving market relations and ensuring guarantee of entrepreneurship activity.

Legislative Chamber discussed a draft law “On permission procedures in entrepreneurship activity” and it was said that the document the document will improve legal protection of business entities and create favourable conditions for doing business, as well as create single system of permission procedures.

After discussions, the law was passed. MPs also discussed other issues of its jurisdiction.
