Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Minister of Health of Uzbekistan Amirullo Inoyatov discussed prospects for cooperation with several French companies during the Uzbek-French business forum held in Samarkand.

One of the key moments of the event was negotiations between the Minister of Health of Uzbekistan, Amirullo Inoyatov, and the Director of the Agency for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry, Aziz Azizov, with the Chairman of Boehringer Ingelheim, Christiane Wijsen.

Boehringer Ingelheim is one of the world’s leading companies in the contract development and manufacturing of biological and oncology drugs. The company specializes in developing drugs to treat a variety of diseases, including respiratory, cardiovascular, cancer, HIV, thromboembolic, cerebrovascular diseases, diabetes, hepatitis and Parkinson’s disease. 

During the negotiations, an agreement was reached on a deeper study of the possibility of localizing the company’s production in Uzbekistan.

An important part of the forum was the meeting of the minister with Jean Edouard, chairman of the Gas system, which specializes in the production of medical gas systems and medical oxygen concentrators. During this meeting, issues of bilateral cooperation in this area were discussed.
