Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan appealed to Uzbek citizens who are planning a trip to Kazakhstan.

In connection with changes in the rules of entry into the Republic of Kazakhstan, the ministry recommends that citizens of Uzbekistan crossing the border with Kazakhstan have all the necessary documents with them.

When crossing the Uzbek-Kazakh or Russian-Kazakh border, the Uzbek citizens must make sure in advance that there are no obstacles not only to entry into Kazakhstan, but also into the Russian Federation.

According to the Russian-Kazakh agreements on mutual recognition and execution of decisions in administrative and criminal cases, Kazakh authorities check for violations of migration and other legislation of the Russian Federation, as well as unpaid fines.

If violations or unpaid fines are detected during a stay in Russia, the Kazakh authorities may decide to ban entry into or exit from Kazakhstan for citizens of Uzbekistan.

To avoid possible problems with entry and exit from Kazakhstan, it is recommended to check the presence of a ban on entry into Russia on the website of the Main Directorate for Migration Issues of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation by filling out a special online form on the official website of the Main Directorate for Migration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation in the “Services” section.
