Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In order to expand and modernize the public transport fleet and improve transportation conditions for residents of Osh (Kyrgyzstan), representatives of the Committee for Tourism and the Tourism Development Fund of Kyrgyzstan chose the Uzbek low-floor bus SAZ LE60 produced by the Samarkand Automobile Plant LLC SP SamAuto.

The ceremonial event for the transfer of 65 SAZ LE60 buses out of a total of 100 units intended for the city transport fleet was held in the city of Osh. This initiative was made possible thanks to the assistance of the Uzbek-Kyrgyz Development Fund, which played a key role in organizing and financing this project.

SAZ LE60 buses are the result of high-tech development by the SamAuto design bureau, which has won well-deserved recognition not only in the domestic but also in the world market. Since the presentation of the first prototype in 2012, these buses have been successfully sold in a total quantity of more than 1,300 units, including more than 900 units. exported to countries such as Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Russian Federation and Ukraine. Recently, representatives from countries such as Mongolia and Iraq have expressed interest in the bus. Climate tests are currently being carried out in these countries. SamAuto’s main achievement in the bus segment can rightfully be considered the start of joint industrial assembly of the SAZ LE60 bus in the countries of Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan.

The SAZ LE60 bus is the only low-floor bus designed and manufactured in Uzbekistan. The total passenger capacity of the SAZ LE60 is 56 people; for the convenience of incoming and outgoing passengers, the bus is equipped with a “kneeling” system, and a ramp is provided for people with limited mobility. The model complies with the Euro-5 environmental standard. The bus has a certificate of OTTS of the Customs Union.
