Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Representatives of Uzbekistan and Lithuania held a meeting to discuss the expansion of trade and economic ties between the two countries.

Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, Dilshod Rasulov, Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Republic of Latvia, Timur Rakhmonov, and Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications of Lithuania, Loreta Maskaliovene, President of the Confederation of Lithuanian Manufacturers, Vidmantas Janulevičius, Vice President of the Confederation of Lithuanian Manufacturers and President of the National Association forwarders of Lithuania Linava "Linava", Romas Austinskas took part in this meeting.

At the meeting, issues of expanding trade and economic ties, increasing export-import potential, as well as existing problems in the field of transport and logistics were discussed.

The conditions created for exporters in order to ensure the competitiveness of product prices when entering the foreign market were discussed. The issue of covering part of the costs of pre-export financing in the field of logistics was also considered.
