Uzbek President Islam Karimov met a delegation led by the president of Japan’s Isuzu Motors company, Yoshinori Ida, at the Oqsaroy presidential residence on 17 November.
Having welcomed the high-ranking visitor to the Uzbek soil, Islam Karimov said Uzbekistan highly appreciated developing economic cooperation with Japan. “Your visit to Uzbekistan is another proof that trade, economic and investment cooperation between the two countries has been rapidly expanding to cover new fields,” the president of Uzbebkistan said.
Uzbek President Islam Karimov said: “We believe that your interest in developing your business in Uzbekistan, above all on the basis of the Samarqand car plant, is a serious step towards strengthening cooperation between Japan and Uzbekistan. People in Uzbekistan are well aware of your company. But, the fact that you have started your business and made such big and resolute steps for developing your business in Uzbekistan. We treat this with great respect and are ready to create all the necessary conditions, privileges and preferences for developing your business.”
Yoshinori Ida expressed gratitude to the Uzbek head for warm reception and said Isuzu Motors supports expansion of cooperation with Uzbekistan.
The sides considered issues on new projects with participation of Isuzu Motors, development of technical and investment cooperation between Japanese and Uzbek companies.
