According to the document, a single tourist visa for individual foreign citizens, issued for a period of 30 days, is introduced in Uzbekistan.
Earlier, foreign citizens, receiving a tourist visa for a short period (for 7 or 15 days), faced problems with prolonging their visas if their return flights delayed for any reason.
Uzbek leader also reduced the cost of registration of entry tourist visas for individual foreign tourists from US$60 to US$40. The high cost of a tourist visa served as a certain deterrent for making a decision to travel to Uzbekistan, the press service of the Uzbek State Tourism Committee said.
The resolution decreased the lower threshold for registration of a group tourist visa from 10 to 5 people.
Uzbek State Tourism Committee underlined that that the earlier requirement for the presence of at least 10 tourists for registration of a group tourist visa caused difficulties, since in most cases, groups are formed from close relatives or relatives, usually consisting of 5 people or more.
The adopted resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan will ensure the minimization of formalities and reduce the costs of potential tourists associated with the design of tourist visas and the activation of foreign tourists, including by increasing the number of group tourists in small groups, the press service of the State Tourism Committee said.
