Gazeta.uz reported that the document introduced changes to the governmental resolution “On ordering purchase of habitations by foreign citizens and people without citizenship in territory of Uzbekistan and entry for permanent residence in Tashkent city” from 27 February 1999 and “On approval standard regulation on special commissions under Ministers’ Council of Karakalpakstan, administrations of regions and Tashkent city” on 16 April 1999.

The first document now applies to Tashkent region. In line with the new document, special commission on permanent residence permit to foreign citizens and people without citizenship, as well as citizens of Uzbekistan, moving to permanent residence to other regions of Uzbekistan. Such commission has been working in Tashkent city administration from February 1999.

In line with updated order, citizens of Uzbekistan, moving from other regions of the country, foreign citizens and people without citizenship can receive residence permit in Tashkent region based on motivated conclusion of the commission as in Tashkent city.

Citizens Uzbekistan, moving from other regions of the country, foreign citizens and people without citizenship can receive notary certificates on purchase, exchange, gifting and pledge of the habitation after they submit decision of the commission.
