The law was adopted by the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan on 12 August and approved by Senate on 4 December 2009.

Honourable diploma of Uzbekistan is awarded to the citizens of Uzbekistan for service in labour and battle, fruitful state and public services, as well as creative activity. The diploma can be also awarded to citizens of foreign countries.

Honourable diploma could be awarded to enterprises, establishments, public organizations, creative groups and military divisions, as well as administrative-territorial units of Uzbekistan.

The regulation said recommend for diploma will be conducted by the Law of Uzbekistan “On state awards”.

People, awarded with Honourable dioloma, will receive corresponding document and money award or gift. They will be also awarded with preferences, stipulated by the legislation.
