Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan passed the law on 12 August 2010 and Senate of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan approved it on 28 August, The law came into force on 30 September.

The law is directed at further improving normative-legal base for protecting children, increasing responsibility of bodies and establishments, preventing neglect and law violation among under ages, as well as parents and guards.

The law regulates participation of culture and sport establishments, tourism organizations and mass media, self-governing bodies and NGOs in prevention of neglect and law violation among under ages. It also determines order of social-legal and pedagogical rehabilitation.
