Uzbek leader receives credentials from Kazakh, Turkish, Korean envoys
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Newly appointed Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassadors of Kazakhstan, Turkey and Korea to Uzbekistan handed over credentials to the Uzbek President Islam Karimov at the presidential residence Oqsaroy on 4 March 2010.

Uzbek President Islam Karimov, receiving credentials, congratulated envoys with their appointments and wished them success in their missions in Uzbekistan, UzA reported.

Kazakh envoy Boribay Jeksembin said Uzbekistan occupies one of the leading positions in foreign trade turnover of Kazakhstan. He said two countries are also cooperating in investments. Kazakhstan imports agriculture goods, chemical products, construction materials and other goods and services.

Jeksembin noted that Kazakh businesses are planning to visit Uzbekistan with new proposals and underlined that he will focus on developing relations between two states.

Sertac Sunmezai, Ambassador of Turkey to Uzbekistan, said he will direct his efforts to develop trade-economic, political and humanitarian relations during his tenure. He noted that the sides have great potential to boost economic cooperation, in particular increasing trade turnover.

Korean Ambassador Jun Dae-wan said leaders of two states have strong friendly relations and it serves as important factor for expanding mutual relations. He said the priority tasks of his mission will be developing mutual trade-economic relations.
