Uzbek leader Islam Karimov said that Uzbekistan appreciates friendly relations established between Uzbekistan and China.

Xie Xuren, in his turn, expressed his gratitude to the Uzbek leader for warm reception and praised importance and efficiency of the Uzbek model of economic development, as well as Anti-Crisis Progamme, successfully implemented in Uzbekistan.

During the meeting, the sides discussed perspectives of further expansion of bilateral relations in trade-economic and investment spheres, UzA reported.

China is one of the largest trade economic partners of Uzbekistan. Trade turnover between two countries reached over US$2 billion in 2009. Currently, over 223 enterprises with the Chinese investments operate in Uzbekistan.
