Uzbek leader announces 2011 as the Year of small business and entrepreneurship

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 7 December 2010, Uzbek President Islam Karimov announced next year as the Year of small business and entrepreneurship in Uzbekistan.

Uzbek leader Islam Karimov announced this at the solemn ceremony dedicated to the 18th anniversary of the Constitution of Uzbekistan, which is marked on 8 December. The event was held at Uzbekistan International Forums Palace.

Uzbekistan observed the Year of Harmonically Developed Generation in 2010. The Government of Uzbekistan developed a state programme “The Year of Harmonically Developed Generation”.

Earlier, the Uzbek leader said that the country will invest about 8 trillion soums to implementation of the programme “The Year of Harmonically Developed Generation”.
