Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Alisher Navoi Tashkent State University of the Uzbek Language and Literature was visited by a delegation consisting of a group of professors of Turkic studies led by the Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies at Oxford University, Professor Zeyneb Yurakli.

The guests were acquainted with the activities of the university, they were given interesting information about the representatives of the Uzbek classics, the great creators of literature of the Renaissance, scientists and their works. The work of the institution for the popularization of the Uzbek language and culture, the activities of the "Uzbek school" aroused great interest among the guests.

Following the meeting, the issue of opening Uzbek language courses at Oxford University and its methodological support was discussed. The parties agreed to sign a memorandum of cooperation during the visit of an official delegation from Oxford University in December this year.
