Uzbek-Japanese trading house opened in Nagoya

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The first Uzbek-Japanese trading house opened in Japan, Dunyo news agency reports. The trading house is located in Nagoya.

The ceremony was attended by representatives of the Nagoya City Hall, deputies of the Aichi Prefectural Council, as well as representatives of the business community and Uzbek compatriots.

Masatoshi Higuchi, head of the Department of Economics, Industry and Transport of the Nagoya City Hall, noted that the opening of the trading house took place as part of the celebration of the 5th anniversary of the cooperation agreement between Nagoya and Tashkent, which indicates the active development of cooperation between the two countries.

Opening the trading house, Mukhsinkhuja Abdurakhmanov, Ambassador of Uzbekistan, presented information on trade relations between Uzbekistan and Japan, which have been actively developing in recent years.

Hiroyuki Ito, honorary consul of Uzbekistan in Nagoya, noted that Japanese companies are showing increasing interest in importing food, textiles, handicrafts and ceramics from Uzbekistan.

The Uzbek-Japanese trading house will play an important role in promoting Uzbek products on the Japanese market, facilitating the conclusion of new export contracts and developing new logistics routes.

Currently, the trading house carries out wholesale and retail sales of food products, dried fruits, vegetables, juices, jams, spices, as well as handicrafts, pottery, household goods and textile products.

Supported by the Embassy of our country, work is underway to expand the range of products and increase the export of melons and grapes.

Together with the local authorities of the regions of Uzbekistan, issues of presentation of products in the showroom of the Uzbek-Japanese trading house are being studied.
