Uzbek-Japanese investments protection agreement to enter into force in September
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan and Japan signed exchange notes on agreement between two countries on liberalization, encouragement and protection of investments on 25 August 2009.

The agreement was signed in Tashkent on 15 August 2009 by the Uzbek Foreign Minister Vladimir Norov and Japan Ambassador to Uzbekistan Tsutomo Hiraoka.

The agreement was signed to strengthen economic relations between two countries by creating stable, equal and clear terms to increase investments. The agreement envisages providing investors and investments of the other side with the same favorable regime as for own investors and their investments.

The document will enter into force on 24 September 2009 and it is expected that it will lift the Uzbek0Japanese relations to new level and strengthen cooperation of private sector.
