Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A meeting was held in Tehran between the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Bobur Usmanov, and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Seyed Rasoul Mohajer.

The visit of the Uzbek diplomat coincided with his participation in the High-Level Committee meeting of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO).

During the talks, the parties discussed the current state and prospects for the development of bilateral relations, with a particular focus on trade and economic cooperation. The necessity of increasing interaction between the regions of both countries was emphasized, as this could help expand mutually beneficial contacts and deepen economic ties.

Special attention was given to the implementation of interregional transport and logistics projects. These initiatives aim to increase mutual trade volumes and optimize logistics routes, which will facilitate faster movement of goods between the countries and improve the efficiency of trade operations.

The parties expressed their readiness to further deepen cooperation in various sectors and agreed to continue the dialogue on key issues of bilateral relations.
