Uzbek insurance companies collect 20.189bn soums of premiums on MICLE
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Insurance companies of Uzbekistan collected insurance premiums for 20.189 billion soums on mandatory insurance of civil liability of employers (MICLE) in nine months of 2014, which rose by 31.1% year-on-year, according to preliminary data of the Ministry of Finance of Uzbekistan.

Major part of insurance premiums on MICLE fell to share of insurance companies with the state share. They collected 16.437 billion soums of insurance premiums on MICLE (+35.5%). Other companies collected on 3.752 billion soums on MICLE (+14.9%).

According to Finance Ministry, insurance companies signed 112,496 agreements on MICLE in nine months of 2014. The companies with state share inked 41,256 agreements and other companies – 71,231 agreements.

The volume of liabilities on MICLE reached 16.774 trillion soums in nine months of 2014 (+20.5%), of which 12.062 trillion soums fell to share of state companies (+13.4%) and 4.721 trillion soums to other companies (+43.6%).

Insurance companies made 11.43 billion soums of insurance payouts on MICLE in nine months of 2014, which grew by 111.4% year-on-year. The companies with state share increased payouts by 119.6% to 10.039 billion soums and other companies – 66.5% to 1.391 billion soums.

It is worth to mention that nine companies provide MICLE services in Uzbekistan. Uzagrosugurta, Kafolat and Uzbekinvest are companies with state share. Kapital Sug’urta, ALSKOM, ALFA INVEST, Asia insurans, Universal Sug’urta and IShONCh are in group of “other companies”.

Kafolat (6.509 billion soums), Uzagrosugurta (6.021 billion soums) and Uzbekinvest (3.907 billion soums) are leading on volume of collected premiums in nine months of 2014.

Kafolat (4.802 billion soums), Uzbekinvest (2.864 billion soums) and Uzagrosugurta (2.355 billion soums) are leading on volume of payouts in January-September 2014.
