The events are organized for further developing and strengthening investment and trade-economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Hungary.
The forums are held within the official visit of the President of Hungary Pal Schmitt to Uzbekistan, which will take place on 6-8 November 2011.
Uzbekistan and Hungary set the most favourable trade regime. Trade turnover between of two states reached US$36.5 million in 2010, including exports – US$8.6 million and imports – US$27.8 million. In eight months of 2011, the figure made up US$23.24 million.
Uzbekistan exports fertilizers, ready textile products, services and goods to Hungary and imports pharmaceutical products, mechanism equipment, other products.
Currently, there are seven enterprises with participation of Hungarian investors, 5 joint ventures and two 100% Hungarian capital. At the same time, five Hungarian companies received accreditation at the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations, Investment and Trade.
