Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The largest Russian online hotel and apartment booking service, Ostrovok, has been named the winner of the IV National Hospitality Award of Uzbekistan.

The award is given to companies for their contribution to the development of the country’s hotel business, strengthening partnerships with local accommodation providers, and stimulating tourism growth. Ostrovok was the only foreign company to receive the award and was recognized as the best hotel supplier. The award ceremony took place during the annual international Hotel Business Forum in Tashkent.

Over the past year, the offering has increased by one and a half times. Currently, over 850 hotels, apartments, guest houses, and hostels in Uzbekistan are working with the service. This year, 35 hotels and guest houses in Uzbekistan were ranked among the best accommodation options according to our users in the 'Ostrovok! Guests’ Choice' rating. This is twice as many as the previous year, which indicates an improvement in service quality and a high potential market. We are also enhancing our service and tools to help even more local hoteliers attract new guests."
