In line with the decree of the Ministry, warnings are developed to implement law “On limiting spread and consumption of alcohol and tobacco products”, which was adopted on 5 October 2011 and enters into force in April 2012.

According to the document, each package of alcohol product should have inscription “Abuse of alcohol products lead to serious illnesses of nerve system and internal organs”.

At the same time, front side of packages of tobacco products should contain one of the main warning: “Smoking kills”, “Smoking shortens life”, or “Smoking harms serious damage to your life and people around”.

In line with the decree, tobacco goods producers should place additional warnings at back side of the package: “Smoking causes lung cancer”, “Smoking at pregnancy harms your children”, “Protect your children: do not force them to breath with tobacco smoke” and “Smoking causes strong tobacco dependence”.

The document said that all places, which realize alcohol and tobacco products, should have two posters.

The poster should have one of warnings: “The sale of alcohol products to persons under age of 20 is banned”, “Abuse of alcohol products seriously harms your health”, “The sale of tobacco products to persons under age of 20 is banned”, or “Consumption of tobacco products harms your health and people around”.

In line with the decree, the Ministry of Health will review these inscriptions and warning each five year.
