Uzbek head signs law to cut number of inspections of businesses
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov signed law “On introduction of changes and amendments to some legislative acts of Uzbekistan in connecting with decreasing inspections of the activities of the business entities” on 13 September.

Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan passed the law on 27 July 2011 and Senate approved it on 26 August.

The law is aimed at unification of legislation and creation of favourable conditions for holding inspections of business entities.

The law introduces changes to law “On farm entities”, law “On state control over activity of business entities”, “On guarantees of freedom of business activity”, law “On private entrepreneurship” and Tax Code of Uzbekistan.

In line with the changes, the controlling bodies will have no right to inspect activities of newly created businesses and farms within the first three years of their operation.

The law determines concrete procedures on starting and ending inspections of business entities. It also sets norm, which obliges controlling body to hand over certificate about results of inspection on its final day.
