Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyayev signed a resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers “On improvement structure of the Uzbek Agency for Communication and Information” on 23 December 2010.

The document was adopted to ensure introduction of innovation to development of the information-communication technologies, increase level and quality of training of personnel for ICT sector, create additional conditions for integration of educational process with production.

In line with the document, new deputy director-general of UzACI will head new department and departments on developing production and market of software products, and information resources and information systems.

At the end of November, the government of Uzbekistan adopted decision on introducing additional post of the first deputy director-general of the UzACI. In line with the decision of the government, Hurshid Mirzahidov was appointed to this post.
