Uzbek Govn’t approves regulation on procuring goods, services within PSA, exploration agreements
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
The Government of Uzbekistan approved a regulation on order of holding competitions in purchase of goods, works and services within the product-sharing agreements and exploration contracts.
Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan adopted a resolution “On improvement of mechanism on realization of product sharing and exploration agreements” on 25 June 2009.
The regulation said investors can purchase products, works and services for US$20,000 without competition. Investors can procure products, works and services for over US$20,000 only with announcement of tenders.
However, the investors with permission of managing council can purchase products and services without competition, if only one enterprise supplies products or services or they are compatible with earlier procured goods and services.
The resolution said investors can implement their corporative rules in hiring, firing, stimulating works within the realization of the projects.
