Law enforcement officers from the two countries and experts attended the event and exchanged opinions on unique experience gained in Uzbekistan in this sphere.
Corruption is considered as a transnational problem, which affects the whole society and economies of all countries of the world. It creates serious problems in achieving goals that were set and affects law enforcement activities and stable development. Fighting corruption is considered as one of topical issues in Uzbekistan that is successfully carrying out democratic reforms.
Representatives from the Prosecutor-General’s Office, the Justice Ministry, the Tashkent State Institute of Law and the German Foundation for International Legal Cooperation attended the conference. During two days, they discussed reasons behind corruption, ways, methods and strategies of fighting against it and the essence of the national legislation in this field.
The meeting also discussed the procedure of studying activities, appeals and complaints of agencies, offices and services specializing in fighting corruption.
The conference also discussed boosting activities of anti-corruption bodies.
