During the visit, Azimova called for boosting cooperation between Uzbekistan and Sarakhs Special Economic Zone.
Given the favorable status of Sarakhs Special Economic Zone in the Middle Asian markets, the Azimova said that Uzbekistan welcomes such cooperation.
Referring to the Iran’s vital role in the region, she urged Iranian officials to encourage investment in the wood and cellulose industry of Uzbekistan.
Ali-Pour, for his part, stated that this region enjoys ample investment opportunities, adding that some countries including China, Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan have also voiced their willingness to invest in this zone.
Given the two countries’ age-old historical, cultural and religious commonalities, he welcomed the expansion of mutual ties.
