Uzbekistan 21/11/2008 Uzbek Foreign Trade Minister visits Azerbaijan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Minister of Foreign Economic Relations, Investments and Trade of Uzbekistan Elyor Ganiyev will pay a visit to Azerbaijan to attend the 7th Ministerial Conference on Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC), which will be held on 21 November.

CAREC is an ADB-supported initiative which was established in 1997 to encourage economic cooperation among countries in the Central Asian region.

The programme has focused on financing infrastructure projects and improving the region’s policy environment in the priority areas of transport, energy, trade policy and trade facilitation.

CAREC includes Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Afghanistan and China.
