Uzbek Finance Ministry sets new norms for travel expenses
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Ministry of Finance of Uzbekistan approved new norms of travel expenses in hard currency for foreign trips of employees of the ministries, departments, enterprises and organizations, Norma.uz said.

The changes are aimed at harmonizing norms of travel expenses to current situation at international financial markets, the decree of the Ministry of Finance said.

The ministry changed daily allowances norms in hard currency and maximum volume of expenses for renting habitation, as well as currency of allowances in some countries.

For example, earlier the daily allowance for travelers to Spain was US$35, now it is equal to 40 euros.

The decree also increased daily allowances for people, who travel abroad for over 60 years. The size of allowances rose from US$16 to 18 euros for Spain, for example.

The expenses for renting habitations will be paid in line with set norms, which equal for 130 euros or US$100.

The decree also decreased the list of the countries, for which norms of travel expenses were set. Earlier, the list included 199 countries, now it has 119 countries and other countries. Single daily allowances set at US$25 for these countries.

Ministries, departments and organizations, financed due to the state budget, the daily travel expenses will be determined within issued budget funds.

The decree came into force on 1 October 2013.
