Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 10 August 2022, the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan Timur Aminjanovich Ishmetov met with the Acting Head of the ADB Representative Office in Uzbekistan Enrico Pinali.

The meeting was attended by First Deputy Minister of Finance Omonullo Nasritdinkhodzhayev, the heads of JSC Khalq bank headed by Chairman of Khalq bank Shukhrat Atabayev and Director of the Department of International Financial Relations of the Ministry Azhiniyaz Kaipnazarov.

On the part of the Asian Development Bank, Andrew McCartney, Senior Economist for the financial sector, Peter Morro, Adviser and Head of Department, Neil Price, banking strategy specialist, and Amit Tendulkar, a specialist in the transformation of state-owned enterprises, participated online through the ZOOM platform.

At the meeting, the parties discussed the directions of developing the development strategy of JSC Khalq bank. The issues of increasing the bank's profitability, optimizing business processes, improving corporate governance, as well as implementing digital transformation were discussed.

As a result of the negotiations, agreements were reached on the further implementation of joint projects.
