Uzbek film to be shown at a festival in Moscow

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The feature film "Two Thousand Songs of Farida" was filmed by the "Fox Music Cinema" studio.

At the II International Film Festival of the Commonwealth "Moscow Premiere" the premiere of the Uzbek film "Two Thousand Songs of Farida" will be presented. The festival will take place in Moscow from 12 to 17 November. Representatives of Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Moldova, Russia and Estonia will take part in it.

The film “Two Thousand Songs of Farida” was filmed by the Fox Music Cinema studio by order of the Uzbekkino National Agency. The film by director Yolkin Tuychiev tells the story of an ordinary family that lives in Turkestan. It turns out that people's lives are directly related to political events.

According to the plot of the film, one of the main characters lives with three wives, but decides on a fourth marriage. Internal family disagreements and political conflicts lead to the destruction of the family.

The film has previously taken part in the Busan International Film Festival in South Korea.
