The parties discussed current state of affairs and perspectives of enhancing bilateral relations in political, trade-economic, cultural-humanitarian spheres, as well as within EU-Uzbekistan cooperation framework, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan sais.
The discussants confirmed their interest in developing comprehensive and mutually beneficial cooperation. Establishment of Uzbek-Estonian Inter-governmental commission on trade-economic cooperation and convening of its first session in the nearest future will significantly assist in taking economic contacts to a new level.
An interest in extending inter-parliamentary exchanges, direct contacts among scientific and educational institutions, public organizations, cooperation in scientific-technical sphere, healthcare and tourism, and also in attracting Estonian entrepreneurs to make use of the modern logistics hub and free industrial-economic zone in Navoi was noted.
