Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to the Russian Federation Bakhtiyor Islamov started a two-day working visit to Novosibirsk region of Russia on 27 April.

The visit aimed at discussion of cooperation perspectives of the Russian region with Uzbekistan in trade-economic and scientific-technical spheres. The sides will also consider concrete measures on launch of General Consulate of Uzbekistan in Novosibirsk.

The programme of the visit includes meeting with governor of Novosibirsk region Victor Tolokonskiy, first deputy mayor of Novosibirsk city Victor Voronov, representative of Russian Foreign Ministry in Sibir Federal Region and representatives of Sibir branch of Russian Science Academy.

The Uzbek envoy will also visit scientific establishments of the region and met representatives of Uzbek Diaspora.
