Opening the meeting, Sergei Katirin welcomed the guest and said that the relations between two states are developing intensively.

Ziyadulla Polatkhodjaev said that trade turnover between two states made up US$6.7 billion in 2011 and over US$4 billion in the first half of 2012. Intensification of cooperation is expected in fuel-energy complex and other sectors. A delegation of businesses of Uzbekistan visited Inanova region and Bashkortostan.

Uzbek envoy presented the CCI representatives to international conference “On role and importance of small businesses and private entrepreneurship in implementation of social-economic policy in Uzbekistan”, which will be held in Tashkent in September 2012. It is expected that business delegations from 55 countries, ministries of economies, representatives of Chambers of Commerce and Industry will attend the event.

Ziyadulla Polatkhodjaev said that Russian businesses will also attend two events in Uzbekistan in October 2012 – International Uzbek Cotton Fair and International Industrial Fair and Cooperation Exchange.
