Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Ambassador of Uzbekistan Jahongir Ganiev met with President of the Spanish company Patentes Talgo Carlos Palaci Oriol.

During the meeting, the Spanish side announced its high interest in continuing long-term and fruitful cooperation with Uzbekistan in the field of railway transport and supplying 4 more trains in addition to the existing 6 Talgo-250 high-speed trains, Dunyo news agency reported.

Carlos Palasi Oriol emphasized that despite the high workload due to the production of large orders for the production of 64 trains for Denmark and Germany, Patentes Talgo is ready to ensure the manufacture and supply of 4 sets of Afrosiab electric trains for the Uzbek railway company within the timeframe planned by the Uzbek side.

The entire order will be financed by attracting long-term concessional loans from the Spanish Government's Fund for the Internationalization of Spanish Companies (FIEM) under the Government of Spain.
