Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Ambassador Plenipotentiary and Extraordinary of Uzbekistan to the Russian Federation Ziyadulla Pulatkhodjaev handed over credentials to the President Dmitriy Medvedev on 3 June 2010.

Handing over credentials symbolizes official start of the work of foreign ambassadors in the Russsian Federation, the Kremlin said.

Senate of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan appointed Ziyadulla Pulatkhodjaev to the post of ambassador to Russia on 8 May 2010.

As earlier reported, Ziyadulla Pulatkhodjaev replaced at this post Ilkhom Nematov, which in his turn headed the Uzbekistan’s embassy in the USA.

Prior to appointment, Ziyadulla Pulatkhodjaev worked as Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Kyrgyz Republic.
