Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to Italy Jakhongir Ganiev handed over credentials to the President of Italy Giorgio Napolitano, Jahon news agency of the Uzbek Foreign Ministry reported.

After the ceremony, the sides discussed current affairs and perspectives of bilateral relations between Uzbekistan and Italy in politics, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres.

The President of Italy Giorgio Napolitano expressed interest of Italy to further develop mutual beneficial and equal cooperation between states in interest of the nations.
