Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- An international specialized exhibition of goods for children “Childhood-2018” was held in Almaty, Kazakhstan, on 16-19 August 2018.
Uzbek manufacturers, who successfully participated in this exhibition, signed contracts for the delivery of their products to countries such as Russia, Kazakhstan and others for more than US$600,000.
The participation of the Uzbek companies in the event was organized by the Fund for Support of Export of Small Businesses and Private Entrepreneurship under the NBU. Several Uzbek companies presented their products under one stand.
Participation of domestic light industry enterprises in this event will undoubtedly allow them to take a stable position in international markets of children’s goods, as well as give an opportunity to present their products, show novelties, get acquainted with the market and find new partners.
During the exhibition, representatives of foreign companies, large retail chains, wholesalers visited the national stand of Uzbekistan, which attracted the attention of buyers with high quality goods. At present, negotiations are under way to increase the volume of products supplied to foreign partners.
It should be noted that by the end of the year the Fund for Support of Small Business Export and Private Entrepreneurship under the NBU is planning to involve local entrepreneurs in a number of international events. To date, preparatory work is underway to create national pavilions at exhibitions, which will be held in such large cities as Dubai, Istanbul, Beijing, Riga.
