Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Economy and Finance Jamshid Kuchkarov and Aurélia Bouchez, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Uzbekistan met at the Ministry of Economy and Finance.

The meeting was attended by First Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance Ilhom Norkulov, Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance Jasur Karshibaev, Deputy Chairman of the Tax Committee Jakhongir Abdiev, Chairman of the Board of Uzsuvtaminot JSC Dilshod Azimov from the Uzbek side. On the guests' side, Jan Koszczynski, Economic Counselor of the French Embassy in Uzbekistan, and Vincent Coupin, Head of the French Development Agency in Uzbekistan, were attended.

At the moment, France and Uzbekistan are actively implementing 8 projects in various fields, including energy, water supply and the "green" economy.

During the meeting, the efficiency and progress of the ongoing projects were discussed. Special attention was paid to supporting programs in the field of infrastructure projects.

Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Economy and Finance Jamshid Kuchkarov noted the significance of cooperation between Uzbekistan and France and expressed confidence in further expansion of mutually beneficial partnership. He also emphasized the importance of implementing ongoing projects to strengthen Uzbekistan's economic potential and improve the quality of life of its citizens.
