Pravda Vostoka newspaper reported that the project will be implemented in four rural medical points of Karmana and Nurata districts of Navoi region of Uzbekistan.

Within the project, it is planned to examine citizens at the age of over 20 years. Each medical point will examine 3,000 people. The Japanese side will provide equipment for the project.

The Japanese side delivered equipment, which will be used to diagnose and reveal pathologies of diabetes, as well as tools for laboratory researches.

The project is implemented within two stages. In the first stage, last year seven doctors from Navoi region underwent training in Japanese hospital and familiarized with revealing and treating non-infectious diseases.

The newspaper said that in the second stage, doctors will start to examine citizens in March 2012.
