Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A delegation from Uzbekistan, led by the special representative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan for foreign policy, Abdulaziz Kamilov, visited Croatia from 22 to 24 October, according to Dunyo news agency.

During the visit, issues related to strengthening bilateral cooperation and expanding political dialogue between Uzbekistan and Croatia were discussed.

A key event of the visit was the meeting with the Prime Minister of Croatia, Andrej Plenković, where the prospects for deepening cooperation between the two countries in areas such as trade and economic cooperation, transport and infrastructure, energy, and labor migration were discussed. The Croatian Prime Minister positively assessed the initiatives of the President of Uzbekistan to activate bilateral relations and expressed readiness for further development of mutually beneficial partnerships. An invitation was also conveyed from President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the Prime Minister of Croatia to visit Uzbekistan on an official visit in 2025.

As part of the visit, meetings were held with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Sea, Transport, and Infrastructure of Croatia, Oleg Butković, as well as with representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Water Management of Croatia.
