Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 27 November, as part of the program of events during a working visit to the United States, a delegation of Uzbekistan held negotiations with the Administrator of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Achim Steiner, and the Director of UNDP for Europe and Central Asia, Ivana Živković.

An agreement on cooperation was reached regarding the implementation of best practices and a comprehensive strategy in the field of social protection, combating poverty and social inequality, supporting the employment of socially vulnerable populations, women, and persons with disabilities, as well as implementing professional training programs.

At the conclusion of the meeting, a ceremony was held for the signing of a bilateral Memorandum of Understanding, envisioning the intensification of cooperation and the provision of advisory support in priority areas.
