Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - On 4 October, in the capital of Japan, Tokyo, a meeting was held between Minister of Development of Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shukhrat Sadikov and the head of the Japanese company Toyota Tsusho Corporation Tsueshi Yamada.

The main purpose of the meeting is to discuss new investment projects with large Japanese companies and expand cooperation.

The parties expressed their readiness to mobilize all efforts to develop cooperation between Uzbekistan and Japan in the field of information technology.

During the meeting, promising areas of bilateral cooperation were discussed, including the exchange of experience in ICT issues and other important issues.

As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached: to continue joint projects aimed at implementing the priorities outlined by the government for the accelerated development of information and communication technologies in Uzbekistan, in particular, creating the appropriate infrastructure for the implementation of smart, clean and safe cities and territories .
