Uzbek customs officers prevent attempts to smuggle 154,000 liters of oil products
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Customs bodies of Uzbekistan revealed 395 cases of illegal movement of about 154,000 liters of oil products for 214 million soums, the press service of the State Customs Committee of Uzbekistan said.

The committee said that the customs officers detained 700 liters of diesel fuel at Ayritom Customs Complex in Surkhandarya region. The fuel was found at inspection of Volvo. Citizen of Turkey Ramazan A. was the owner of the fuel.

At the same time, another Turkish citizen Hasan B was detained at the attempt to smuggle fuel to neighboring state. He was stopped at Sariosiyo Customs Complex in Surkhandarya region.

During special measures, some 600 liters of diesel fuel were seized in border area of Ferghana region as the violators tried to smuggle fuel to neighboring state. The fuel was found at inspection of Vaz-2101 car. The violators run away from the crime place.

The customs officers also found 1,200 liters of ownerless diesel fuel, packed in plastic capacities, in Tashkent region. The fuel owners run away after noting law enforcement bodies.

In the same region, law enforcement bodies prevented attempt to smuggle 2,200 liters of petroleum to neighboring state. The fuel, packed in plastic capacities, was found without owners.

Investigations are underway on all these cases.
