Fund Forum and Hirayama Ikuo Silk Road Museum Foundation, as well as Embassy of Uzbekistan in Japan organized the event. Over 250 famous Japanese state and public officials, MPs and heads of parliament, representatives of science, culture and art, tourism associations and business circles of Japan participated at the event.
Participants got acquainted with exposition of traditional and modern arts and crafts of Uzbekistan, exhibition about Tashkent, collection of paintings of Hirayama Ikuo dedicated to Uzbekistan and Great Silk Road.
Ministry of strategic development of Japan Koichiro Genba said the cooperation of Uzbekistan and Japan is developing actively and joint projects create firm foundation for mutual developing and strengthening friendship between two nations.
Executive director of Japan Fund Tomoyuki Sakuray said that Uzbekistan is leading state in holding cultural diplomacy between Uzbekistan and Central Asia. He said that Japan Fund is ready to continue cooperation with Fund Forum.
