The sides underlined high quality and richness of bilateral cultural cooperation, in particular, in the heritage conservation field.

During the meeting, sides discussed two projects: Shakhrisabz’s Ak-Saray palace square slabs restoration and restoration of fresco “After” (VII century), which preserved in Afrasiyab museum.

First project was realized by the French “SOCRA” at financial participation of Dordogne department general council and Ministry for Foreign Affairs of France. The project was implemented within 16 months and will be launched in the end of April 2014.

Within the second project, France initiated international fundraising and fresco restoration should be started in the end of April 2014. The works will be led by French restorer Géraldine Fray.

During the meeting, the French envoy and Uzbek minister discussed possibility of holding exhibition of Uzbek painters in Paris.

They also underlined successful cooperation in sports such as fencing, judo, kurash and archery.
