Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan condemned an act of violence, which resulted in a large number of casualties in Gaza Strip, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan said in a statement.

“We received the news of a large number of casualties as a result of an airstrike on the Al-Ahli hospital in the Gaza Strip with a feeling of deep sorrow,” the statement said.

“We strongly condemn this sinister act of violence and consider it a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law,” the Uzbek Foreign Ministry said.

“Expressing our sincere condolences to the families and friends of the victims, we call on the parties of the conflict to immediately suspend hostilities and establish a ceasefire,” the statement concluded.
