Uzbek companies secure US$8 million in export contracts at exhibition in Pakistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The city of Lahore, Pakistan, is currently hosting the Made in Uzbekistan exhibition, showcasing Uzbekistan’s scientific achievements in agriculture, significant industrial sector advancements, and newly developed products.

Eleven Uzbek entrepreneurs and research institutes are participating in the exhibition, presenting innovations in cotton growing, vegetable farming, and other agricultural sectors.

Additionally, a wide range of 83 types of industrial goods is being displayed, including processed meat, fruits and vegetables, dried products, spices, stone fruit and other vegetable oils, as well as confectionery products.

Several key agreements have been signed as part of this major event. The trading company Agroexport has secured a contract with Pakistani entrepreneurs for the export of leguminous crops worth US$5 million. Meanwhile, Sara Yevropa Exim reached an agreement to export spices and dried vegetables amounting to US$3 million.

Discussions also covered the import of Pakistani products. Atlas Shox and TTT-Trade LLC signed a promising agreement with Pakistani companies Mohmand Enterprises and Buraaq Impex to import potatoes worth a total of US$5 million.

Notably, products from the Samarkand-based company Yetti Xazina, which specializes in consumer eggs, hatching eggs, and vaccines, attracted significant interest from Pakistani entrepreneurs. The company’s products were recognized as promising for the Pakistani market.

Furthermore, agreements were reached to expand cooperation in seed production, with follow-up negotiations planned in Tashkent. Exhibitions like Made in Uzbekistan play a crucial role in strengthening the international image of the Uzbekistan brand, opening new export opportunities, and contributing to the sustainable development of the national economy.
