In line with Article 7 of the law "On elections to the Uzbek parliament", elections to the Legislative Chamber of the parliament will be held at 135 territorial electoral districts.
In this connection, the Central Electoral Commission, after having considered proposals of local government bodies, adopted a decision during the session to set up electoral districts with the aim of holding elections to the Uzbek parliament’s lower house. According to Article 7 of the law "On elections to the Uzbek parliament", the list of electoral districts, their titles, numbers, borders and numbers of their voters will be published in the press.
The session discussed the process of implementing a blueprint for making preparations for and holding elections to the Uzbek parliament, regional, district and town councils of people’s deputies.
