Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —  In the first 10 months of 2024, over 6,500 citizens of Uzbekistan received payments totaling more than 10.5 billion soums through the "Solar Home" program, according to the press service of the Tax Committee.

Launched in April 2023, the program provides subsidies for electricity supplied to the national grid from solar panels installed in residential homes.

The total amount of payments under the program amounted to 10.56 billion soums, with 5.75 billion soums paid out between August and October.

At a rate of 1,000 soums per kilowatt-hour, this means participants in the program generated 10.56 million kWh of electricity.

The leading region in terms of payments is Khorezm, which received 2.4 billion soums, followed by Karakalpakstan with 1.7 billion soums and Tashkent with 1.4 billion soums.
